In the postscript to this book,the suthor says,"I travelled to Beijing twice in 1919 and in 1938.I got around the city during school holidays.This city fascinated me.Fortunately,I managed to live here from 1939 to 1944.More than two hundred thousand Japanese people lived there at that time.I took many photos of the city during a work break.I managed to bring them to Japan because they escaped the war damage."
